Police: Arrest Made In Beating Death
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police say a man has been arrested in connection with the beating death of a 22-year-old woman.
Investigators have charged 46-year-old Terrance Raines with first degree murder, felony murder and habitual third offense in relation to the death of Kiara Coachman.
Coachman was found beaten to death in her Detroit apartment by family members, after she failed to appear for work at a Burger King in Taylor for three days.
Homicide Investigators say they followed a trail of evidence that led to Raines, who lived in the same apartment complex as Coachman.
Coachman's family said she had strong aspirations to be an actress or a model and was trying to save up some money to make her dreams come true.
Raines is currently being held at the Wayne County Jail.
