Man In Wheelchair Killed Crossing Gratiot Ave.

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A man in a wheelchair was killed in an accident Wednesday morning on Gratiot Avenue near 11 Mile Road in Roseville.

Southbound Gratiot remained closed after I-696 for over three hours while police investigated.

The man was crossing Gratiot in his motorized wheelchair near 11 Mile and I-696 when he was hit.  Roseville Deputy Police Chief Anthony Cona told WWJ Newsradio 950 they're not sure yet who was at fault.

The medical examiner was on the scene.

Gratiot has since reopened.  The victim's name was not immediately released.
