Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! Don't let construction activities spoil your weekend plans.
The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-94:
In Wayne County, the current right lane closure on eastbound I-94 from Belleville to Haggerty roads will remain until Saturday, January 21 for bridge painting operations.
I-75/12 Mile Road:
In Oakland County, the upcoming bridge repair is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, January 16 with a right lane closure on eastbound and westbound 12 Mile Road under I-75. The right lanes are expected to remain closed until early February.
As a reminder, lane closures on 12 Mile Road will last into March, the upcoming single right lane closure will switch over to the left lanes in early Feb.
I-75 lane closures are expected to begin the week of Jan 23.
The following lane closures are scheduled for electrical work on freeway message boards:
- I-275:
In Wayne County, the right lane of northbound I-275 will be closed at Koppernick from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan 16.
- I-75:
In Oakland County, the right lane of northbound I-75 will be closed at Crooks Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan 16.
In Oakland County, the right lane of northbound I-75 will be closed at Long Lake Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan 17.
