FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WWJ) – Police are investigating a big smashup along the Livonia-Farmington Hills border.

WWJ’s Ron Dewey reporting live from the scene could see two badly damaged cars and lots of shattered glass at the intersection of Eight Mile and Middlebelt, where early Wednesday morning an SUV slammed into a subcompact. Two men were involved; one was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The other was taken to a police station, as alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

With an accident reconstruction crew taking photos and measurements, it’s presumed one of the men was at least seriously injured.
