Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! While there's not much construction scheduled for the weekend, a few lane closures still exist.
The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-75:
In Detroit, rolling two lane closures (two lanes remain open) on southbound I-75, from 8 Mile Road to I-375, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday for detailed bridge inspections.
I-94:
In Macomb County, single lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-94, between Frahzo and 12 Mile roads, from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday for survey work.
I-94/M-39 interchange:
In Wayne County, scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. on Monday, March 12 the following ramps will remain closed until early April:
- Southbound M-39 to eastbound and westbound I-94
- Eastbound Van Born Road to southbound M-39
The following ramps will also close Monday and remain closed until early May:
- Westbound I-94 to southbound M-39
- Westbound I-94 to Pelham Road
Detours will be posted for each ramp movement.
