HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) – Commuters hit a snag on their Friday morning drive after an accident between a salt truck and another vehicle closed part of the Davison Freeway in Highland Park.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on eastbound M-8 under Oakland Avenue, just before the I-75 overpass.
While it’s not immediately clear what led to the accident, a Wayne County salt truck and a passenger vehicle apparently crashed into each other, blocking three lanes of traffic.
Reporting live from the scene, WWJ’s Mike Campbell said there was quite a bit of visible damage to the driver side of the passenger vehicle.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
