HARPER WOODS (WWJ) As snow started to fall at about 7:30 a.m. Monday — just in time for Monday morning commuters — an ambulance slammed into a salt truck on I-94 in Harper Woods, according to WWJ’s Bill Szumanski.

It happened on westbound I-94, near Moross.

“This ambulance hit the back of the salt truck so hard, it’s one of those full-sized vans and the engine compartment is now into the front seat of this ambulance,” said Szumanski, reporting live from the scene.

Szumanski added it did not appear as if anyone was injured, adding the ambulance technicians were out looking at the ambulance.
