Middlebelt Road Reopens After Head-On Crash

LIVONIA (WWJ) – Middlebelt road has reopened at I-96 in Livonia after a head-on crash Thursday morning.

Police say the accident happened just before 6 a.m. when a car traveling northbound in the southbound lanes collided with another vehicle.

The drivers involved in the accident were taken to Botsford Hospital, although the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Police say it’s unclear if alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
