Jeff Riger: Erin Andrews Was Not Creeped Out By Me; Video Proof

Last year's World Series was rough.

All of Detroit was left hurting after the Tigers got swept by the Giants, but that's not where my heartache stemmed from. Instead it was the filthy, disgusting New York Post, who had the audacity to call me a "creeper!"

How dare they! If you're going to call me things, at least have the decency to use my name so maybe I can get a couple extra Twitter followers out of it. C'mon.

So here's what happened...

I had the honor to talk to the lovely and talented Erin Andrews before Game 4 of the Series last year, and the interview got taken way out of context. I was trying to do a service to the men of Detroit and find out what it would take for a Detroiter to get a date with Erin Andrews. I thought it was a great community service that I was providing.

Of course the New York Post didn't see it that way.

They took a beautiful exchange between Ms. Andrews and I and turned it into a despicable act of me trying to get "creepy" with her.

I would never!

And, the stink of this awful controversy has stuck with me ever since.

So when we saw Erin (I feel like I'm on a first name basis with her) on Tuesday afternoon, I set out to set the record straight.

Andrews remembered me from a year ago and was happy to talk again. See New York Post, if I truly was a "creeper," would she want to chat again?

"The only thing that I remember from it - and I thought it was kind of bizarre - it looked like I was coming to Detroit to find a boyfriend, and I was like are you serious?" Andrews said.

But did she find me creepy?

You'll have to watch the video to find out!

Of course if that won't get you to watch, Andrews also talks about this ALCS, Jim Leyland and what she does in Detroit when she's in town.
