Water Main Break Slows Traffic On I-75 In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - A water main break is causing problems on a popular section of I-75 in Detroit.

The two right lanes on northbound I-75 at Mack Avenue are blocked, and traffic is slow between I-375/Exit 51 and Warren Ave/Exit 53.

Officials say the water main break is located on the service drive, spilling water onto the freeway below.

According to WWJ traffic tipsters, water is covering all three lanes from Warren to Mack, leaving the road slick and slippery.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the break, although crews are working to fix the problem.
