Man Charged With New Year’s Day Stabbing Death Of Clarkston Man

PONTIAC (WWJ) – Murder charges have been filed against a Pontiac man accused of stabbing another man on New Year’s Day.

Waterford police investigators say 52-year old Todd Henke was arraigned Friday in the death of Kurt Houghteling of Clarkston.

The two were with a group of people in a home on Ida Terrace near Williams Lake Road when Houghteling was allegedly attacked and stabbed in the chest.

Police said a 43-year-old Clarkston man was stabbed, just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, at a home in the 7000 block of Ida Terrace in Waterford.

Police aren’t sure of a motive at this time.
