Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again, which means road work crews will be out in full force.
The following construction projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-75:
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound I-75 at 8 Mile Road will close for 15 minutes, some time between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, for utility work.
In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-75 between Sibley and Goddard roads, double-lane closures and ramp closures from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for patching. Ramps at Sibley, Eureka, Northline, and Goddard roads will also close.
M-3 (Gratiot Avenue):
In Macomb County, northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) at 12 Mile Road, there will be a single lane closed from 9 a.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Friday, May 30 for utility work.
I-69:
In Saint Clair County, the eastbound I-69 ramp to eastbound I-69 Business Loop will close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, for road work. Detour is eastbound I-69 to eastbound I-94 to Lapeer connector to 24th Street to I-69 Business Loop.
LOCAL:
In Wayne County, the Dearborn Street ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work. The detour is Dearborn Street to southbound Dix Avenue to southbound Schaefer Road to I-75.
Beginning the week of Monday, May 12:
I-75:
In Oakland County, northbound I-75 from Big Beaver to Square Lake roads will have two lanes closed from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Friday for road work.
I-696:
In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-696 Service Drives from Dequindre Road to M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) will have a single lane closed intermittently from 9 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Sunday for utility work.
M-3 (Gratiot Avenue):
In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) between Vermander Avenue to Harrington Boulevard will have a single lane closed from 7 a.m. Monday to 8 p.m. Friday, May 30 for road work.
M-10 (Lodge Freeway):
In Wayne County, southbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) ramp to Pallister Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for construction.
In Wayne County, southbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) Service Drive from Seward Street to Pallister Street will have one lane closed from 9 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Friday for construction.
LOCAL:
In Oakland County, westbound 10 Mile Road from M-1 (Woodward Avenue) to Rosewood Street will have a single lane closed from 9 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Friday for road work.
