Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work
DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.
The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
I-75:
In Wayne County, northbound I-75 from I-375 to M-8 (Davison Fwy) will have moving lane closures from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for road work.
In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-75 ramp to northbound M-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.
I-94:
In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 from I-96 to 8 Mile Road there will be multiple lane closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday for bridge work.
I-96: (local lanes)
In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 Local Lanes at Davison will have two lanes closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for road work.
I-696: (service drive)
In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-696 service drives between Dequindre and M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) will have single lane closures for utility work.
M-5: (Grand River)
In Wayne County, eastbound Grand River Avenue from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Trumbull Street will have one lane closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for road work.
In Wayne County, westbound Grand River Avenue from Livernois Avenue to M-39 will have moving lane closures from 6 a.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Sunday for road work.
In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound Grand River Avenue between 10 Mile Road and Haynes Street will have single lane closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday for road work.
M-10: (Lodge Freeway)
In Wayne County, northbound M-10 (Lodge Fwy) will have two lanes closed from I-75 to I-94 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.
M-1: (Woodward)
In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-1 (Woodward Ave) between Adams Avenue and I-75 will have multiple lane closures from 7 a.m. Thursday to Tuesday, September 2.
In Wayne County, southbound M-1 (Woodward Ave) between Montcalm and Adams will have one lane closed through November 28, 2014.
In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-1 (Woodward Avenue) between Kirby and Milwaukee streets will have multiple lane closures from 12 a.m. Saturday to May 3, 2015.
M-15: (Ortonville Road)
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-15 (Ortonville Road) between Glass Road and Oak Hill Road will have one lane closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-15 (Ortonville Road) between Seymour Lake Road to Rattalee Lake Road will have one lane closed from 9 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Friday.
M-3: (Gratiot Avenue)
In Wayne County, northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) from I-94 to M-102 (8 Mile Road) has two lanes closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work
In Macomb County, northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) from Price Drive to Metropolitan Parkway will be closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
M-53: (Van Dyke Avenue)
In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) bridge over 24 Mile Road will have one lane closed from 8 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Wednesday for bridge work.
In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) between M-102 (8 Mile Road) to Helen Avenue will have one lane closed from 5 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.
M-59: (Hall Road)
In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound M-59 (Hall Road) between Hayes Road and Heydenreich Road will have two lanes closed from 9 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Tuesday for road work.
