Illinois Trooper On Motorcycle Hurt In Accident On Way To Funeral For Michigan Trooper Killed In Motorcycle Crash

CHELSEA (WWJ) - An Illinois State Police trooper has been injured in a crash while en route to the funeral for fallen Michigan State Police trooper Chad Wolf.

The crash happened late Tuesday morning on eastbound I-94 near Chelsea, Michigan.

M-LIVE reports the Illinois trooper was on his motorcycle at the time of the accident. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but is expected to be OK.

The freeway was closed for just over an hour but has since reopened.

Wolf was also on a motorcycle when he was struck and killed on I-75 near Clarkston last Friday. Close to 2,000 mourners are expected to gather inside of Fenton High School to pay their final respects.
