Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

Additionally, several Detroit roads will be closed on Monday, June 23 for the annual Ford Fireworks.

M-10 (Lodge Freeway):

In Wayne County, northbound M-10 from I-75 to I-94 will be closed completely from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work. Ramps from Bagley Avenue, Grand River/Temple Avenue, and Forest Avenue to northbound M-10 will also be closed.

I-75:

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 from Springwells Street to Schaefer Highway, two right lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work. Ramps from Springwells and Dearborn Street to southbound I-75 will also be closed.

In Wayne County, southbound I-75 ramp to northbound M-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-75 between McNichols Road and Caniff Avenue will have two lanes closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Saturday for road work.

In Wayne County, northbound I-75 ramp to northbound M-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

I-94:

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-94 between Warren Avenue and I-96 will have one lane closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for road work.

M-59:

In Macomb County, westbound M-59 from Van Dyke to Ryan Road will have two lanes closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. Mound Road ramps also affected.

M-29 (Green Street):

In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-29 (Green Street) closed from Main Street to County Line Road from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for event.

Beginning the week of Monday, June 23:

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-696 Service Drives between Dequindre Road to M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for road work.

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound M-59 between Ryan Road to Van Dyke Avenue will have two lanes closed from 7 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Wednesday. Ramps from Mound Road also closed.

In Macomb County, northbound M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) near 16 Mile Road will have one lane closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for road work.

Heading into Downtown:

-M-1 (Woodward Avenue) closed between I-75 and Adams Avenue from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-M-85 (Fort Street) closed between Washington Boulevard and Griswold Streetfrom 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Southbound M-10 closed from I-75 to M-1 (Woodward Avenue) from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Southbound I-375 closed from I-75 to Jefferson Avenue from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Northbound I-75 ramp to southbound I-375 closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Northbound I-75 ramp to southbound M-10 closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Southbound I-75 ramp to southbound M-10 closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) ramp to northbound I-75 closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue/Randolph) from I-375 to Jefferson closed 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Eastbound Jefferson Avenue ramp to southbound M-10 closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Eastbound US-12 (Michigan Avenue) closed from 3rd Street to Cass Avenue from 6 p.m. to midnight.

-Mack Avenue ramp to southbound I-75 closed from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Leaving Downtown:

-Northbound I-75 ramp to Warren Avenue closed from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

-Northbound I-75 ramp to Mack Avenue closed from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

-Warren Avenue ramp to northbound I-75 closed from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

-Mack Avenue ramp to northbound I-75 closed from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
